How to create Paintable UVs per Material in Adobe Substance

Summary

Imports a 3D/CAD model and assigns paintable UVs per Material. Materials are kept retaining any Material Colors and Names. UVs are non-overlapping and global.

  1. Choose the `Select 3D or CAD File` button.
  2. Browse for the file to be imported. For a list of supported formats see Format & Material Support.
  3. Click on `Paintable UVs per Material` from the available Import actions:
  4. Adjust settings as desired, then press the `Run` button. For more information about the various settings please refer to the Actions Reference.
  5. UVs are created, and the file is imported into the scene. Each material has its own set of atlas UVs. You can now assign materials and paint textures!
